I bought this litter system as a solution to litter being spread throughout my house and in to my bed. I have used it for about two years and loved every second of it. However, one of my cats has recently started defecating throughout the house (he's always done this, but it has become unbearably frequent lately). I went to the store and bought a jumbo litter box and clumping litter, and not only has the defecation stopped, but the cats haven't touched the Breeze boxes since. I'm going to keep them as extras but I doubt they'll get used again. Cats don't like that they can't dig around in the litter like they can with clumping litter, which makes me unhappy, but a happy cat is a happy owner, so this is how it is going to be. If your cat will use it without any problems though, I highly recommend doing it.

*The only reason I say it is a small capacity is because my cats each weigh about 11 lbs. and are very large, so this was a little small for them. Normally they require a jumbo-sized litter tray to move around in.

I have been using this system for 2 years. This type of system has been used in Japan for many years; don't know why it took us so long to get it.All I can say is CLEAN! And it has changed my life. No more nasty, sandy, smelly grit all over the place. Stays clean. Once a day (maximum) I just take the poop out with tongs (it just sits on the top) and drop it in the scooper and from there to the toilet. Yes, you can smell the poop for the few seconds it takes you to walk in the bathroom before you drop it in the toilet. It's okay if a few pellets stick to the poop; the pellets don't react with liquid so the toilet can handle it fine. This way the dirty pellets get flushed & the rest stay clean. It's much, much cleaner and neater than rooting round in nasty, smelly, gritty litter for chunks & pieces and then disposing of it somehow, since scoopable litter canNOT be flushed (it will eventually clog up your system).The surfaces are sort of non-stick and easy to wipe clean (no "litter mud" everywhere). You can dampen a rag & add a squirt of Pinesol and just WIPE the box clean when you want to change the litter (about every other month for me). You can do this between times too - just tilt the litter to one end & wipe, then the other (the litter doesn't react to liquid). So simple, so CLEAN! I sprinkle "Arm & Hammer Oxi-clean Pet Fresh CARPET Odor Eliminator with Vacuum Booster" on the PAD. The CARPET type works much better than the product made for litter - but do NOT sprinkle this on the litter, but just on the PAD, and use very little (I keep some in a spice shaker).Follow the directions on introducing your cat to the new system.Some people seem to think it cost more than regular litter, but I don't think so. You can get the pads for about $1 each ($4/month, if you change it every week) and the bags of litter (small bags don't look like enough, but they ARE) I change no more than every other month (and even then, they don't really NEED it). I get them delivered 6 at a time via [@] subscription for I think about $35 - that's $35 a YEAR, if you change it out every other month. So I don't think the litter and pads are all that expensive. For me, not having to deal with the nasty mess: rooting around in smelly litter and stepping on nasty grit every day (not to mention finding it in my bed and on my furniture) is worth every penny.In addition, it's healthier for you and your cat. Clumping litter creates dust for you when you scoop the box, dust for your kitty when he scratches - this dust contains chemicals that are very bad for both of you when INHALED. Very, very bad for your kitty when he/she licks the litter off her paws & fur, thus INGESTING these chemicals, some of which are carcinogens.I LOVE this litter system! And no - you cannot use puppy pads in the pee drawer (I tried that). These pads are much thicker, constructed to hold a week's worth of cat pee, and have a plastic flange that turns up on the edges of the drawer all the way around to prevent leakage. They are well designed, easy to use and dispose of, and work perfectly.I also tried using glass beads instead of the pellets. While they were easy to swish/wash in a little bucket and pour into a colander, then back into the box, my cat was less than thrilled. They were much noisier than the pellets when he scratched around - maybe that was why he wasn't crazy about them. I went back to the pellets. I keep a pee pad on the floor in front of entrance of the box because he is a very long cat and occasionally dribbles a little out the entrance. When I change pads, I put the one from the floor into the box (even if it is still clean) and a new one on the floor. If he dribbled on the pad, I wipe the entrance of the box with a damp rag. It's just very easy to keep very clean. It's not unpleasant, like scooping/cleaning the old box was, so I don't dread it and I keep it very clean, which my cat appreciates. He actually comes and tells me (rowr!) when he poops, so I will put the poop in the toilet right away (he has me perfectly trained).Ann

Great overall product. But it gets expensive to purchase litter & pads. More costly than other systems. Hard to clean if your kitty has diarrhea! Having said all that, it's still a good product. I have 2 cats & they share the box with no problems. And there is NO tracking!!

This new system is great. It was easy to set up. When I tried to put Handsome Hank in it he ran away. However, he did go in it on his terms and he is using it just as he had his old box. I only wish the bag of pellets were a larger size bag. This system is a godsend, though, with my Cerebral Palsy, Reumatoid Arthritis and Asthma as it is vurtuately dust free and the set up and clean up it quick and easy. I can't stand clay litter. Don't do what I did and put the pad plastoc side up and cotton side down. LOL

I was so tired of litter and odors. No matter how "clean" you keep a litter box there are always lingering odors. I no longer have to deal with that. The BREEZE was easy to set up and my little Julie took one look and jumped right in!
I left her other box out, as recommended in the BREEZE instructions, but she had no interest in that one any longer.
One thing - the pellets scraping on the hard plastic are a little noisy (Julie is meticulous about digging and covering up) but I can live with that - no problem. I am just delighted to be rid of the litter and the maintenence of a litter box. Thank you BREEZE!

I have tried many types of litter systems including the expensive electric box. Within 2 months the thing burned out which was really annoying. This system still works better. I now have two of them for my upstairs and downstairs. They are easy to clean and don't leave that nasty odor. You need to change the pad about once a week. There is very little tracking as the pellets stay in the box for teh most part. One or two may track out but not far from the box. So far a great product. Since you don't need to change the pellets as often it is cost effective

I have been extremely happy with this litter system. My 2 cats were 9 years old when I started them on this system and they adapted to it with no problem. It is the easiest, cleanest system I've ever used. It is more expensive than a bag of litter but it is well worth it to me.

My Siamese would not take to this for all his litter duties. He likes to bury, and the pellets and shallowness of the container did not allow him to properly bury. He does use it for certain duties, but still wants his regular litter. I think that it may be perfect for other cats, or starting a kitten on it. Just because it didn't work for my kitty, doesn't mean it's not a good product. However, I strongly recommend considering your cat's needs since this is a pricey system. Once I use up all the supplies, I will be tossing the system.

I got this for my kitty who is only 3 months old. He was litter trained to the regular tidy cats litter. But when I brought my kitty to the new home he didn't have any problems adjusting to it (he didn't go there for the first time, but I showed him where he is supposed to do that). It's easy to keep it clean, the pads work great, it does smell right after my cat does his business but I give it an hour or so and then scoop everything out. You can find 1 or 2 pellets on the floor once in a while and that's about it. I do recommend buying an extra bag of pellets right away even though it's still ok with just one bag but it's easier to hide everything for your cat when there is a little more :) I was looking at the self-cleaning litter systems but I'm glad I bought this one and saved money!

i have ten cats and was using regular kitty boxes. litter dust was everywhere, high tracking and the smell was overwhelming. i changed over and bought five of the Breeze systems.(one system per two cats) i am amazed how simple and clean this system is. there is no odor at all. i change the pads every 4-5 days. great thing is that on the third day i check the boxes and if one pad is getting more action than another then i switch the drawers. it's sanitary and easy to clean. the pellets last a month so at that time is when i break down the boxes and scrub them in the tub. i can't say enough great things about this product. i would reccommend this to anyone who has a cat or two or ten!

I bought the setup with extra refills and tried everything...mixing the pellets with regular litter, letting it sit near the old box, etc....my cat won't go near it and has gone everywhere except in it...including my laptop bag! I have 4 cats and 4 litter systems throughout house. As long as my cats don't focus on any one box too much, I can get by with 1 pad per box for close to a week, sometimes longer. I tend to agree with another reviewer though...I think this system may be better suited for 1-2 cat household ( definitely from a cost perspective,as well). The odor and litter-tracking control is far better than any other litter system I've used. Easy to clean box-- just remove pads, wipe out tray, replace pad, and change litter occasionally, as needed. The litter does not have to be changed out nearly as often as pads(just pick out fecies), so I am not buying nearly as much litter as pads. With 4 cats, I use just under a package of pads a week, so when that cost is combined with the not-as-often litter purchase, it definitely exceeds what I paid for large [$] bag of feline pine, which usually lasted me about 2 weeks. Overall, this is a great system, but, unfortunately, the main con, in my experience, is the small size of the litter box. This may very well be what makes me change back to my old litter. I would tolerate cost, if size was increased (especially length). My largest cat (a rather large, big-boned tabby) steps in and urinates clear over the low end everytime...right onto the floor. I've been placing extra large bed pads by litter box to catch it, but then, that's just another expense, and more mess to clean up. If this one big problem could be remedied, I'd be quite satisfied with the product.

I have 5 Cats, they all like it but I had to change the pads daily, got to be a little to expensive for me. I will go back to regular litter for now, I wish they could figure out a way to make the pads last longer or contain any overflow, it's a huge mess when it overflows.
It's a good product, for single cat owners, just not for multiple cats.

I am extremely pleased with the new Breeze litter system. My 2 kittens took to it immediately, even though they had a month on regular litter. I thought I was going to have to switch them to being outdoors, because the urine smell was so awful! With the Breeze System, they can remain inside. There is no odor, now! I do need to change the pads more often, though, because with 2 kittens, 1 week had the urine seeping out of the pad into the drawer. The price is well worth it, to have no odor! Also, I'm going to use 2 bags of the litter each month. It will cover the bottom better. Again, I am happy I bought Breeze! My daughter-in-law is going to get one, now, too, because of my satisfaction with the product.

I have two young cats, they both took to the box immediately. I use the same box for both of them. I change the pad just once a week (and it is so easy), then I change the pellets once a month. There is no more ammonia smell in the house and I just have to scoop the "poo" once a day. I have had cats for over thirty years and this is the BEST litter system I have ever found! I swtiched two mature cats (14 years) to this after years of using corn-based scoopable litter that has a very soft paw-feel. After trying pellet litter many years ago with little success, I was worried about whether they would use this system. Turns out, they are just fine with it! The only issue we have had is with pee coming out onto the floor because one of my cats simply walks in and goes, leaving her "aimed" at the entry cutaway. (My previous boxes had very high sides.)

An additional pad placed under the front of each box solves this problem, however it does compound what I view to be the system's only drawback: the pads are saturated after 2-3 days. I have two boxes for two cats, and perhaps this isn't an issue with younger cats who tend to have less output. As a result, am not sure yet how cost-effective this system will be for us. Nonetheless, I can't see myself switching back to scoopable litter--this is a very fine system! I LOVE that it doesn't track and creates absolutely NO dust!!

I have had this system ever since it was first put on the market. Initially, my cat was scared to use it.....he finally had no choice but to use it. He still doesn't like it but has adapted. the only con is that the refills are extremely hard to find....which is why i started ordering from here. the product is great......you don't have to change litter weekly and i love it.

I absolutely love this system, which I've used for four months now. I have two cats, both 13 years old and both healthy. I changed from clumping litter because I was tired of the lingering urine odor, the hassle of carting out tons of used kitty litter, and the tracked litter all over the house. Breeze has eliminated ALL of these problems! When I first made the switch, it took about three weeks for my cats to fully adjust. so be patient. The system is quick and easy to use, and the pellets last a long time. I have only one Breeze box for the two cats, and need to change the pad about every three days. The only negative I've encountered is that the poop seems to smell a little bit more sometimes, I guess because the pellets don't have the dessicant effect that clumping litter does. It doesn't last long, and this is a minimal price to pay for having no urine smell and no litter dust and dirt. Overall, I'm delighted with the system. Given what I save by not having to buy litter (and so many vacuum cleaner bags!), it's well worth it.

After trying most other litter systems this is by far the best and has ended up saving money, time and frustration. I have 2 indoor cats on a vet diet because one of them has "crystal issues". The result is "buckets" of urine but feces only once a day. Breeze pads are the answer to the urine volume and odor, and the pellets last forever with no tracking. Previously, I was dumping the litter and washing the box every day, and really frustrated with the clumping litter that had to be chipped out. Also, the urine odor was overwhelming. I have only found 1 store in my area that sells the system and supplies but its prices are the lowest I have found, including on-line. The negatives I have read about this system don't add up. Make sure your cat's medical, behavioral and diet problems are addressed. We love this product and had no problem transitioning.

I have 2 kittens who are 5 months old who previously used clumping clay litter perfectly. I tried the Breeze system because my vet recommended it. Unfortunately, the kittens use it only intermittently. Sometimes they use the box and now sometimes they use my bed or my clothes hamper or the carpet for both pee and poop. Now they see the box as ONE of the alternatives for their elimination needs. I have returned to using clay litter, and they are getting better but still having "accidents" on my bed.

The next time I decide to try a new system, I'm going to keep the tried and true system available until I KNOW the new system is accepted perfectly.

LOVE THIS! So easy to clean and no dust tracking. My cat has two boxes. He adapted to this one right away and only uses it for urine. The pad soaks it up and you cannot even smell it! If I had to go down to one box (I have space, so I use two), I'd use this one instead of the self-cleaning one I have as well.

Thanks to the Breeze system, my apartment doesn't smell like I have three cats. Also, the dust and awful mess from the old clay litter is gone! I change the pellets completely each month, and I add pellets along the way as I extract the feces. The pads absorb the urine very well and don't leave any odor. They need to be changed frequently (for me, every four days with multiple litter boxes), but it is worth it.

I have four (4) cats and everyone of them adjusted quickly to the new litter and we all love it! Less tracking and dust, low odor, easy daily clean-up. The litter pellets last for a long time and the system saves me money over other organic litter I was using. I'll never go back to any other style of litter box.

This is my very first cat and I had seen this litter system advertised so I thought I would give it a try. I absolutely love it and so does my cat. I like the fact that you don't have to worry about litter getting tracked out or stuck in their paws and I haven't noticed any strong urine odors from it either. I think it is totally worth the money!!

I have an elderly cat with diabetes who urinates large amounts this is the first system that is CLEAN and odor free. I do have to change the pad every day or two at the most but it is a small thing compared to the results. TRY IT!
