Canidae seems to be a good food, My dog has been using it for 2 months and is much more active now then other 7 year old dogs I know. The only cons I find, is I am on a fixed disability income, and this food puts a huge dent in my budget. I also can't find it in rural areas, and have to drive to the city to buy it.

I have two large dogs that spend at least half of their time inside with me, and I had to vacuum almost daily to keep the carpets mostly free of their fur. This food was recommended to me when My Daily Dry Food was temporarily taken off the market. For the price, this Product is nutritionally sound, and I use it as a backup food when the other Dry food that I feed my Dogs is unavailable.

The deliveries from this company have always been prompt.
My shipments sometimes come in fair condition, and sometimes the Boxes are crumpled or slightly torn, but I think this is not the fault of this company.

I have a Doberman and 4 Rat Terriers. All Life Stages is something I can feed all five of my dogs and know that they are getting the best nutrition possible. For my 80+lb dog the large 35lb bag goes along way, with decent price too. The kibble size is small enough for smaller dogs or puppies. It's an all life stages formula. If you need single protein this is not the food for you since it has multiple proteins.

I have three dogs that are basically herding dogs and they love the food. The older ones have not gained any weight and the active one is not losing any. I was surprised at just how much my 2 yorkies loved this. I was worried that the pieces were to large for them but they seem to do fine with them. I would say that a toy breed might have trouble with them though. Plus it made my 2 yr old yorkie CHEW! She used to eat way to fast. Now that they have better nutrition they seem to be much more satisified w/ what they are eating. They prefer the flavor to this brand over other comparable brands. I mix this 50/50 with the Canidae grain free. Their canned food is great to!

Our Aussie mix came to us having been fed Canidae by her foster parent. We've never had any issues with stomach upset, or problems with output. About the only concern we have is lack of interest, perhaps due to boredom of the same old thing, but we stick with it because it works and she seems better for it.

I raise Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and have been using this food for about 7 years. It has gone through some changes but continues to be a well rounded, high quality food for the three breeds I have. Have two smaller dogs--they really like Beneful, but I remember reading a long time ago that if the MEAT source wasn't the first ingredient, then it wasn't that great a dog food. And, frankly, the amount of waste these two produced per day was just too much. The Candidae arrived and surprisingly, they ate it (not mixed with anything just 'straight'. It seems that they eat less and that the amount of waste has decreased. And it gets delivered. WIN/WIN.

I have an American Pit Bull Terrier with food allergies, and a Yorkie, Maltese, Standard Poodle mix with an extremely sensitive stomach. I've fed them other top quality foods that they've done OK on, but so far they're doing great on this food. The APBT hasn't had any bouts of scratching till he bleeds, and the Yorkie mix hasn't had diahhrea since switching him to this. I started feeding Canidae at the recommendation of others when the food I was feeding changed its formula significantly and I was seeing it in my dogs. (The company dropped the quality of its highest quality food, created a "new" line which was very close to the food I had been feeding and increased bag price by close to [$] a bag). First used this product for my very athletic Scottish Deerhound who was always underweight with other premium foods. A client of mine gave their Newfoundland Canidae ALS, thinking it was a good food. I've never seen a dog scratch so much! The dog actually cried while scratching himself. I felt so bad for him. The dog was in pain. His stools were firm, but the scratching was out of control. His owners were feeding him Nutro before and switched because of the recall. They made a big mistake. They are still waiting out the scratching. They only fed Canidae for 2 days! I hope he feels better soon. They will not be giving the dog Canidae again. I recommended Pro Plan or Science Diet to them. The protein levels are a lot lower.

I did a lot of research before finding this complete diet, and believe it is also the best value.One of my dogs has an extremely sensitive stomach and this food is highly digestible, with simple, natural ingredients. It is the only dog food, other than grain free, that Xena could eat and digest--also contains Omega 3, probiotics, and antioxidants. All the dogs really like it, and it is good for small, large, young & old--so great for multiple dog families.

My Boston Terrier was very gassy, and would vomit for no known reason and was otherwise healthy. I talked with the folks at the local "Petbarn" food supply, and they recommended Canidae ALS. The vomiting stopped, and the gassiness that Bostons are reknown for was greatly reduced. She thrives on it, her coat is smooth shiny and her skin is supple. Her teeth and breath are good. She seems to like it too!

We have used Canidae ALS for the past 4 years. We were using "another" dog food with our 12 yr old Shar Pei/Collie mix (Calypso) when we brought a full Bernese Mtn Dog puppy (Yodi), into our family. Yodi had very bad diarrhea with the other food. After much research, Canidae became our food of choice and no more diarrhea or intestinal problems. It also cut down on the amount that had to be fed a day!

We have since lost our beloved, Calypso, at the age of 17, but are now proud owners of Lilli, a 1 yr old Berner/Gr.Pyre "designer" dog (as we call her). Our dogs love the ALS and we have no reason to change. Their coats and health are excellent! Try it, they'll love it!

I have a 70 lb Blue Pit. I researched the internet for the best product for my dog. Canidae ALS dry dog food came up as one of the top foods in every web site I went to. After using it I can see why. Boo has a very shiny coat and is very active. I only have to use 3 cups once a day. Great product.

We have fed Canidae and Felidae over the years with great results. It's true that companies, management and formulas change over time but Canidae has always offered straight-forward nutrition at a fair price. It's a food we rotate back to regularly.

My Dog has been getting this feeding since he was 7 weeks old.When your dog is noticed everywhere you take him and people ask all the time what do you give him? His coat and size is so noticable.Vet give compliments on his teeth.He is active,smart and healthy.I think his food is a big contributing factor.

I have 3 dogs. I started Canidae 10 years ago when my puppy had gastro problems (gas, diarrhea)and needed food with no corn, wheat or soy. There are other brands with no corn, wheat or soy but my two didn't like them, lost weight, or their coats were dull. Canidae did the trick! I've been feeding Caindae for 10 years now. One dog is 17, the other is 11 and we just got a new puppy. Since Canidae is for All Life Stages they can all eat the same food, though I recently put the old guy on canned Canidae because he was losing weight due to tooth decay (hey he's 17!). He gained back his weight on the canned Canidae (the other 2 dogs are so jealous) and they all look terrific!
