My dogs (Large Black Lab & Greater Swiss Mtn Dog) love this food, had gone thru several brands of grain free food and they weren't crazy about it, but finally once we tried Orijen, they were happy. The Orijen Adult Dog and the 6 Fish are their favorites for sure. Their coats are beautiful, and they are both lean dogs, and have a lot of energy, no slugs here

This is good stuff and my finicky dogs will eat it, but it stinks! Just a day or two of eating it and their coats are already getting shiny.

This is by far one of the best pet foods on the market. All of the ingredients are suitable for human consumption which cannot be said about most other brands. Its a shame more people do not use food like this, and instead fall for the expensive marketing of the junk brands like Hill's and Eukanuba. I see the price has gone up slightly since I first bought it, but I will continue to buy it as long as the price stays reasonable. My dogs are worth it.

It does smell a bit fishy, but it's not bad, even for someone like me who doesn't like any fish smell. I use the ORIJEN dry food along with NEWMAN'S OWN GRAIN-FREE canned or WELLNESS GRAIN-FREE CANNED. Based on a LOT of research, I feel that these suppliers provide the best foods for my dog.

Great food, great for coats, but all 4 of my dogs I think got tired of the taste. They prefer Orijen senior which is lower in calories and fat, and they like the taste better.

We have a large breed Rottweiler/German Shepard. He loves the food and is very active. He has a sensitive stomach so we add a little pumpkin to the food and his digestion is perfect. Cheaper foods give him diarrea. The bag smells like fresh fish.

Bought this food to help with allergies. To soon to tell if it is working yet or not but within two weeks her coat already feels better. The food comes vacuum sealed so you know its fresh and even before opening it my dog was sniffing it out and was already excited.

Orijen is definitely the best pet food ever done, reasonable price for excellent quality. No items contain that dog can not digest and wide range of first class meat and organics.
I have a labrador for several years and all her life she has allergy. When she eat Hills, Royal Canin, Pro Plan, which I found on my local market, she was not active and coat was in poor condition. Moreover, I have spent thousands on vets and pills.
As soon as I found Orijen, my dog is healthy, she is very active, coat turns into avesome condition and no problems with her diet.
When the food reach me after the trip across the ocean, the price is doubled, but it is still ok for me.

Orijen is one of the best pet foods on the market, and probably the best dry food that you can buy. It has all the things dogs can digest (meat and organs) with none of the things they can't (grains). The high protein and fat and density of nutrition mean you feed much less. This is good for your wallet, but also fantastic for picky eaters, because even if they eat less than you would like, they are still getting nutritional value from the food they do eat. Changes I have noticed since switching to this food: I feed less so my dog gets less bloated at mealtimes, her coat and skin are softer and she itches less, and her greasy "doggie odor" is nearly gone, she has more energy, and her joints don't seem to bother her in the mornings or on cold days anymore.
Yes the price is slightly higher than supermarket brand kibbles, but the quality is likewise much higher. Would you rather feed your dog something designed for him as a carnivore, or something full of rice, corn, sugar and salt? Just like junk food and McDonalds isn't good for people, so is that junky kibble not good for our pets! Orijen delivers all of this and more. Especially this formula, the 6 Fish, is excellent for dogs (like mine) that cannot handle chicken or chicken fat. Many red meat formulas still contain chicken fat, whereas this Fish-only formula uses salmon oil.

Cannot recommend this brand enough! No cons whatsoever!

If you have doubts, see the Orijen website to learn how they source their food, how they have safe facilities without the mycotoxin risks of companies that process grains, and their whitepapers on the proper food for dogs and the myths of dogfood. While this food is expensive, you use less per feeding so each bag goes a long way. I don't know how it tastes, my dog will eat anything. Her bowel movements are normal now on Orijen Red or 6 Fish, and she is super healthy.

My German Shepherd has a finicky stomach and only tolerates Gluten in very small amounts. This food's ingredients is just what he needs. After having him on this food for a year the Vet gave him a perfect 10 for the first time. At 8 years old he seems to be getting better every year.

I've tried a lot of "good" dog foodf, but nothing seems to be close to this. First of all, the smell is totally different. It smells likes its ingredients, fish. Not like a dog food. Second of all, my dog absolutely loves it. I thought her "woofing down" dry food was temporary simply because it was new/different. Nope. A month later, she loves this stuff. And she is a small dog (French bulldog) who is generally less than enthused by dry food.

But perhaps most importantly, I never thought she had any allergies, but after 2 weeks eating this, she stopped biting her paws. I think she was allergic to something.

Simple answer .... This food is more expensive because it is simply better. If you love your dog, try this brand and this flavor.

All three of my dogs love this food. Aslan (Chow) had both sensitive stomach and skin/hair issues with other foods--even those very expensive and high quality. Today his coat and skin are healthy, plus he loves the food. We started our Newfoundland puppy on the Large Breed variety and continued it til she was past 1 year. She's BIG, but since Orijen Large Breed limits the Protein amounts, she didn't grow so fast her bones didn't get "ahead" of her. She's still so FLEXIBLE at 2-1/2, but her correct size for a female Newfie (105 lbs+). THANKS TO ORIJEN!!!

I purchased this food for my 2 teacup chihuahuas Martini and Pixie. They are 3 lbs each. So far, so good with this food. My dogs have allergy problems. Ive been thru every brand of food out there and not one of them stopped my girls from having the sniffles or from getting ear infections until i found orijen. They have been on this food for about 2 weeks now and right away i noticed a difference. No sniffles, and i even said to my husband the girls look different. Their faces look brighter and i noticed that new fur growth/coat is coming in and its super soft. As long as the girls are happy so am I. It is a bit expensive, but when it comes to my girls its only the best for them! The kibble is a bit big for my dogs but they seem to eat it just fine. I wish origen made this same formula in small breed bites. I will be switching my 2 pits over to this as well.

Orijen is the best commercial dog food on the market today in my opinion. My dog has a beautiful coat and always receives compliments on it. She has amazing muscle tone and tons of energy. It's a bit pricey but well worth it because my dog deserves the best. Try it for a month or two and you will notice a difference in your best friend, or my name isn't Cesar Millan. Ok it's that's not my name but the rest is true.

My dogs love Orijen and I love the ingredients! Nothing but quality here. Expensive, especially when I have 3 dogs to feed, but because of the quality you don't need to feed much. My active giant breed eats only 4 cups a day and his vet says he's in perfect condition. Kibble size is fine for my two small dogs as well.

Orijen is the best dog food on the market today. My Standard Poodle is doing great on this food and also my Havanese, who suffers from Sebaceous Adenitis. Both dogs have some food allergies so the 6 Fish is perfect. I would highly recommend any variety of Orijen.

This food is a life saver. I tried literally everything for my poor boxer girl who seems to be allergic to darn near everything in food including rice, most meats, I believe all grains. She would chew her paws until they are raw whenever she eats anything aside from this 6-fishes orijen. She would "gulp" often or vomit. This food is grain free, the 6-fishes one with sea vegetables is a god send. Highly recommended.

I've been feeding my dogs Orijen for a while now and they love it, their coats are soft and shiny and they are both doing very well (I have a Rottweiler and a Golden Retriever). My Golden is a very picky eater but he has never refused this food. I also feel good knowing I am feeding them one of the best dog foods on the market.

Orijen products are simply wonderful for canine friends. I have three dogs, each with different needs, and yet Orijen (seafood) dry dog food has brought them each to optimum health. I have a "tri-pawed" dog, missing a back leg, who cannot risk excess weight, and when I got her from our Humane Society, she had dry flaky skin. Within weeks of eating Orijen, she looks like a greased seal. I have adopted an overweight elderly Basset Hound, and with portion control, he's lost most of his excess weight, is shiny and very active-- very different than when I got him several months ago. And I have a young, active Basset Hound that needs extra calories. She's eaten Orijen since a puppy, and has developed beautifully. With proper portions, I think this food is great for most any dog. An added bonus is that when they eliminate, there's far less bulk, as it's not full of useless substances that can't be digested.

Great dog food. Our chocolate lab loves it, however it is definitely fishy! It smells fishy, but she loves it and it agrees with her. She has a sensitive stomach along with allergies and typical dry skin most labs have. This keeps her coat super shiny.

I use this product for a 5yr old active dog and a 7 month old very active older puppy. I chose it because the older dog does best with a grainfree fish based food; it seems to have helped his licking. The older pup had ear infections and I figured this product surely couldn't hurt!

I've used Orijen products on and off for the past year.... it's clearly the very best that money can buy. My basset hound pup has developed beautifully, my "tri-pawed" 3-legged dog looks like a racehorse, with a lean body and shiny coat (she cannot become fat because it will stress the remaining back leg). When I've changed to any other brand, the healthy shine on the coat declines, and dogs become more sluggish. I recommend all of Orijen's products.

Our dog, a recent addition to the family, is a rescue, and we wanted to make sure he started getting healthy food without a lot of filler and chemicals. Orijen fits the bill. We had him on the Adult Dog food from Orijen, but it seems he has sensitive digestion, so our vet suggested we try changing food. The 6 Fresh Fish seems to have done the trick. He is very big, and we try to keep him very active, this food seems to be suiting him prefectly; he likes it and his digestion is back on track! I like it because it is made with fresh ingredients and is nutritionally balanced.

My lab suffers from a sensitive stomach and food allergies.This food is grain free and is perfect for my dog. After a while she started to have a reaction to her old food - they say dogs can become allergic to their food after 6 mos. to a year - and I tried a variety of other foods but her stool was loose thus she needed more protein. This is the only food I could find for my dog who is finicky and has an extremely sensitive stomach. All the other foods that did not give him the squirts he got sick of in a few days, leaving me with enough half full bags to open a store. The only downside is that the Orijen 5 fish is hard to get in my area, only a few stores order it, and they order it for people in my situation. Great food and healthy!
