Comments about Taste of the Wild Taste of the Wild Wetlands Canine Formula with Roasted Wild Fowl Dry Dog Food:

Dr. Dodds herself recommended this food for my Great Pyrenees, however, it isn't the food for him.

My Chow mix, who has been raw fed for the past 3 years does WONDERFULLY on it. I started feeding it to him since I had half of a big bag I couldn't feed my Great Pyrenees and I didn't want it to go to waste. I can't believe how well he does on it.. he loves the taste of it and his coat gleams. His stool is perfect (though obviously larger than when he was raw fed) and his energy levels are great! EVO and similar foods are too rich for him and cause him to have diarrhea, but work wonderfully for my Pyr. Taste Of The Wild is not rich like EVO, Orijen etc. and is a wonderful grain free product for sensitive dogs.

I don't like it as much as Back To Basics, EVO, Orijen, etc, but my Chow mix's tummy sure loves it! He's on his second bag and still inhales every meal! I only need to feed him 1/2 cup twice a day for him to maintain his 34 pounds. He's very active, joins me on 5 mile jogs daily, so this food is a wonderful value.

Comments about Taste of the Wild Taste of the Wild Wetlands Canine Formula with Roasted Wild Fowl Dry Dog Food:

My dogs are pretty picky, especially when it comes to kibble. They LOVE this food! In fact, I usually leave free-choice kibble, but I find they like this too much and it is gone before the next feeding. No wasted food ever.
I think because it is so tempting, I would say it is best for an active dog.

I use the product for my two golden retriever puppies. It helps with their hip area and was recommended by their breeder. I like the fact that it comes right to my door and I don't have to go and get it from the store. The bags are heavy for me and having them come to my home, I don't have far to take them into my house.

My dog Jack has severe food allergies that make him itch and give him ear infections- but going grain free has drastically changed this for him. He is happier and healthier, but it gets really expensive although he actually eats less food. Taste of the Wild is a good product on the lesser end of the expense scale.

This food saved my chihuahua! The vets said she had a "flea allergy" but she didn't have fleas. She was misrible scratching all the time, her hair started falling out and she was loosing weight. She was in such bad shape I actually thought about putting her down. Then I found this food!! The grain-free formula was just what she needed! After abot 2 months on this food her hair was growing back, no more red, itchy skin and she gained her weight back! My friends were so amazed at her recovery that they all switched to Taste of the Wild!! Great product!

He loves his food and it is as nutritious for him as the one we used to use, if not moreso. We are happy with our decision and we are sure our pup is happy too!

I actually purchase Taste of The Wild Dog Food, both dry and canned for an organization called "Pets With Disabilties". I donate several bags and cases for this worth while organization who rescues disabled dogs/cats who are missing a leg, blind, deaf or those who need wheel chairs in order to get around until they are able to find new homes. Taste of the Wild food is proving it is the best for these animals because of the ingredients used. Those who would like to donate to them, their address is: [@]

I buy all 4 blends and mix them together. Being grain free the dogs have stayed leaner and they love the taste. Add a little warm water and it brings out the aroma and flavor plus provides some extra moisture.
It can make them a little gassy at times, easily helped with Beano before eating.

Service & Delivery comments:

Speedy delivery.
The packaging could be improved; the outer box is usually falling apart when I receive it. The order should be put into two boxes or taped more securely in the single box.

I was looking for a new kibble for my 4-year old corgi and my 2 year old sheltie and, based on the reviews here, decided to give it a try. They are absolutely WILD about it. Very easy to digest; elmination is great, transition was a breeze. Corgi boy is a kind of fussy eater (sheltie girl is excited to eat anything); he is just as delirious about getting ready to chow down as she is. Kibble is small, great size for both (they are on the petite side)and I like the low carb content.

Comments about Taste of the Wild Taste of the Wild Wetlands Canine Formula with Roasted Wild Fowl Dry Dog Food:

I breed rare Alapaha Blue Blood bulldogs. The benefits of this brand outweigh the costs. It's pricey, but you have to look at the flipside. With high quality ingredients and no grains/fillers, you don't have to feed as much to give your dog the same nutritional value. The benefits are reduced/firmed stools and more nutrients absorbed. My male (pictured) used to barely eat a full bowl of the other stuff, and the other dog would finish it off. Soon as we switched to TOTW, he made sure to keep pace and finished before the others. I would recommend this pet food to anyone concerned with quality ingredients and overall health of their family pets.

We switched to this brand at the advice of our vet who diagnosed grain allergies in our 10 year old chocolate lab. He responded right away. We also feed it to our 6 year old corgi. We have noticed improved coats and the stools are much better, firmer, and easier to clean up. I was going to mark it as a little pricey but considering the ingredients and how well it worked for the allergy, we can't complain! They will eat any of the flavors but the favorite seems to be the wild fowl dry. Highly recommend!

i love what this dog foos has done for my "babies". their coats improved after one week. their breathe is wonderful. no more bad dog breath. they have puppy breath, its wonderful. and i also like that i have several flavors to choose from. to switch up from time to time. its a bit pricey for large breeds, but if mix half with a lower quality food, like pedigree, i have the same results, and i don't run out of taste of the wild too quickly.

My 95 lb shepard/lab mix loves this food. I mix the canned food that Taste of the Wild also makes and he goes nuts at mealtime. He used to not care about dinner with his old food and would beg at our dinner table because he felt unsatisfied. Now, he eats then sleeps the night away while we eat dinner in peace. So, big improvement! And grain free is a plus for him, he is older but still active, needs all the nutrition he can get without the fillers of corn or the like.

Comments about Taste of the Wild Taste of the Wild Wetlands Canine Formula with Roasted Wild Fowl Dry Dog Food:

Started using this food when my 1st pride and joy October was diagnosed with Lymphoma. With lots of research I found the more natural i kept his food and environment the better for him to try and fight the cancer. My October crossed the Rainbow bridge at 11 yrs old in June 2010. He is greatly missed by us and his buddy Atticus, but we have added a new joy to our home Rock Star Thaddeus, he has been on this food since puppy. The dogs both love there food no more picky eaters. I'm a lifer with this food.

Service & Delivery comments:

Im set up with Automatic delivery. With help from customer service, I figured out the correct size i needed in my time frame of delivery. One less thing i have to think about. I add my treats and toys to the order and every month its a new surprise for them.

Comments about Taste of the Wild Taste of the Wild Wetlands Canine Formula with Roasted Wild Fowl Dry Dog Food:

Our breeder recommended this food when we got our dog a year ago. He seems to love the flavor, and I feel good feeding it to him because it's so healthy. It has been safe for his sensitive stomach and keeps his waist nice and trim.

Basically, as long as they keep making this food, we'll keep buying it. Especially knowing we don't have to go searching for it since we can get it through Pet Food Direct!

Comments about Taste of the Wild Taste of the Wild Wetlands Canine Formula with Roasted Wild Fowl Dry Dog Food:

This food, which I give to both my dogs (an American Staff. and a boxer), is amazing. Since starting on Taste of the Wild over a year ago, my dogs are looking and feeling great. Our vet commented on how their coats just shine and their health is excellent. I also feed Taste of the Wild to my cats, and there too, they are looking better and acting younger (as they are both older now) than they have in a long time.

If you read the ingredients, you will see for yourself! The food is packed full of amazing stuff like roasted venison, cranberries, kelp, and it is grain free!

I know it is slightly more expensive than some other brands, but it really is great food in terms of quality, and my animals adore it (Granted they are all rescued, and came to me over the years originally in rather bad shape, and hence never had a problem with picky eaters, but when we switched about a year ago, they definitely all gobble it up with more enthusiasm than the previous food we used).

Comments about Taste of the Wild Taste of the Wild Wetlands Canine Formula with Roasted Wild Fowl Dry Dog Food:

I mix the roasted fowl with the bison and fish formulas. The dogs inhale it, they absolutely love it and their coats are soft and shiny as a result of this food. It is better tolersated as far as gassiness if I give them Beano before eating.

Comments about Taste of the Wild Taste of the Wild Wetlands Canine Formula with Roasted Wild Fowl Dry Dog Food:

I know every puppy/dog is biologically different from the next one. So this is only MY experience with our 9 mo boxer. We've tried everything IAMs, Solid Gold, Organix, Ultramix, Canidae and a few others. He did ok on IAMs, but the ingredients are questionable at best. Solid Gold he loved, but it caused very loose stools and the odor was unbearable. He did the best on Organix and Ultramix but we were trying to find a better/cheaper food. He did the worst on Canidae. In fact, he itched a lot and woke up several times a night needing to go outdoors to potty (which is great training for our upcoming baby, but we're not ready for that yet). His gas was also life changing to say the least. We finally found TOTW at a local pet store (not a box store) and for the price decided to give it a try. We've only had him on it for a couple weeks or so, but fortunately he's sleeping through the night again and his stools are solid and fewer. It also is a 6-star rated food at [@].Give it a shot, it might just work for your dog.

Comments about Taste of the Wild Taste of the Wild Wetlands Canine Formula with Roasted Wild Fowl Dry Dog Food:

Our 11 year old golden retriever was on Natural Balance Duck and Potato with great success and then they changed to a "new and improved" formula. This new formula made our dog sick with diarrhea. Our local pet store recommended Taste of the Wild and we haven't looked back. She's doing great, her stools are solid, and her coat is shiny. We couldn't be happier with Taste of the Wild--thank you!

I have Irish Setters. One was having coat problems but since switching to TOTW Wetlands it has improved wonderfully. One is a very picky eater and thinner than I like - she loves this food. I use the dry as well as the new canned TOTW. I no longer have to encourage her to eat - and they eat everything in their bowl and look for more. I do sprinkle a supplement over the dry and then a little water. Stools were a little loose at first while making the change. Very happy with these products.

Comments about Taste of the Wild Taste of the Wild Wetlands Canine Formula with Roasted Wild Fowl Dry Dog Food:

After being told that dogs do better on a grain-free food,I decided to try taste of the wild. The problems associated with grain-based kibble have gone away.My dog scratches and chews his paws far less frequently now and he really enjoys the food. Its so tasty that I no longer use canned food, although I may moisten with broth occasionally.A plus is the value.A 15lb bag of this food is priced lower than some others and yet the quality seems comparable.

Comments about Taste of the Wild Taste of the Wild Wetlands Canine Formula with Roasted Wild Fowl Dry Dog Food:

I have finicky Chihuahuas & have them on a rotation diet. I do a lot of online researching of dog foods & liked the listed ingredients in Taste of the Wild, plus the fact that it is a grain free diet. I was skeptical at first because I tried the Bison formula & they would not eat it unless I added water or canned food to it,so I decided to try the Wetlands formula & they love it! Overall I am very happy with this product & so are my dogs! The kibbles are also smaller in the Wetlands formula,so it is suitable for small breeds.
