I have two older huskies that are still very active. Since changing to this brand of dog food in the past 6 months, I have been very pleased with the quality and the overall health of my dogs. There is very little waste, which makes the yard clean up much less unpleasant and the poop-bag grab much easier.

Their skin and coats are healthy, their eyes are clear, and they have lots of energy. People are always surprised that the oldest one is 13. I do believe that this product has contributed to their overall health.

My beagle was suffering from itchy skin and rashes that his vet said was caused by the additives in the food I was feeding him. I switched to this at the vet's suggestion. For the price, great value for a great dog food. My dog was picky but that was probably my fault for changing his food so much but I really wanted to get a food that was nutritious for him as well as edible. And this food is definitely edible, i don't think he loves any food besides his pet trick treats and human food. But since I don't give him any human food, he just gets on with his dog food. The grain free is awesome, and great great price. love it.

Taste of the Wild is one of the best foods on the market today. I use the High Prairie for my 4 greyhounds as the one of my dogs is allergic to a lot of ingredients in most pet foods, and another doesn't digest fish well. This dog food is superlative in its premium protein for dogs. Our dog is a German Shepherd-mix and has had zero stomach or bowel upsets with this food. It doesn't have an "icky" dog food smell, no doubt because of its high quality.

I adopted a young dog in December. He was pretty malnourished, and also had problems with intermittent diarrhea, apparently related to his pancreas.He is now very healthy, and the internal problems have subsided.Also he eats this food - and he is picky about a lot of foods.

I switched to TOTW after Orijen "improved" their formula and both the 6 Fish and Regional Red "improved" flavors gave my dog consistent diarrhea, gas, and skin conditions. I did my research first and was shocked to find that TOTW had very similar ingredients, but was half the price!

More importantly, my dog loved it, and his health conditions improved. In fact, my cats seemed to love it, too, because when I put down a new bag of his food, they both tried to chew through the bag to get to it! Angry at the lack of response from the company that made Orijen (and the cat's Acana), I switched them to TOTW, too, and they love it!

I really don't have anything bad to say about this food. The vets are consistently impressed by my dog's coat and teeth, and he hasn't had any health issues. The one complaint I have is that he will eat all of the TOTW flavors but the lamb one. He is super picky about that one, which is a shame, because he seems to have the best output on it!

Great product; I mix it with the 3 other varieties for an all-round meal. This helps offset some of the bad effects of just fish. The dogs love it. By itself it could be constipating.

I used to mix it with another brand -- for bulk cause it is so pricy for me -- but they made a mess picking it out from the other food --

The only difference in feeding my senior, middle aged and very young dachshunds is in the amount I feed. They eat it well and I am comfortable that I'm feeding them the best I can buy. Happily since they seem to need a bit less I can afford it with no problem.
Stools are less frequent and firm. Less scooping doesn't hurt.

I have tried almost everything on the market over 40 years of raising and showing Lhasa Apsos. Show dogs must be in prime condition to win, and my many champions are proof that I have always sought the very best nutrition for them. Long coated dogs also need a non-allergenic high protein food in order to grow show coats. This food combines reasonable price with excellent nutrition. My lastest litter has been raised from six weeks to 4 months on it, and are in robust health, excellent weight and have beautiful coats. Poops are small and firm and almost odorless.

I have also noticed that a smaller amount of food is needed to maintain good weight on the adults. My adults are sleek and shiny on a half to one cup of food a day - a proof of the digestability and high nutritional value of Taste of the Wild.

It will take time to see how my dog(Aussie kelpie) does on this food. It is appetizing to him and there was no problem changing foods. He has had a problem with pancreatitis (despite being lean and active and very healthy in appearance) and I was a little concerned that it might have too high a fat content... so far he seems to be doing well, maintaining his weight... so it may work.

My toy poodles are picky. When I put a little broth with the kibble they eat it grudgingly. I spoil them with home cooked food though. Good ingredients at great price. But the use of meat "meal" for two of three meat products in the food is a bit of a drawback. Probably one the most nutritious foods for the price on the market.

taste of the wild dog food is great my dogs love it and really excell on it. i have beagles that i use for hunting and i don't have the time to run them everyday. but by feeding this dog food they stay in great physical shape and when i take them out 2 or 3 times a week they perform very well. there are no grains in this dog food and the protein is 33% not too high. for the money this is the best grainless dog food you can buy.

I own a Lab and Shepherd. The Shepherd suffered constantly with ear infections. When I switched to TOTW the ear infections cleared up completely! Taste of the wild is an excellent nutritional diet for my Boxers and when you add the fact of having it delivered to your doorstep, my dogs always have sufficient food and I am not put out. We are monitoring our 11 month old male Akita for possible Kidney disease and have been closely watching the foods he eats. He is very finicky when it comes to eating and can quickly tire of the same old kibble we had been feeding him. After doing research on foods that would be easy to digest and yet provide the nutritional requirements of an active puppy I decided to give taste of the wild a try. He ate his portions both without any additions (raw meat) and with the raw meat and each time has not lifted his head til the bowl was licked clean. Taste of the Wild brings my dogs to dinner anytime. They both love this food and it is so good for them. It is a little pricey, but worth the few extra dollars. I was feeding them Blue Buffalo but their grain free equivalent, Wilderness is more expensive and they did not seem to enjoy it as much.

I recently became better educated regarding dog food brands and the quality of the food or lack there of - mostly thanks to a web site that included scientific based facts and analysis. There are actually a number of high quality dog foods available and my challenge then became to find the best value. I couldn't be happier with Taste of the Wild. I have 2 dogs (my mother has 8) all of varying sizes, breeds and ages. It has worked well for ALL! The kibble size is small enough for my mother's Yorkie and all of the dogs appear to love the taste. When my mother mixed it with the old dog food to gradually switch her little ones over to TOTW, they picked out the TOTW kibble and left the other (and they are very picky eaters). I've been feeding it for about a month now and all of the dogs still love it and I'm already seeing improvements in skin and coat. In the beginning, there was a little softening of the stool (no diarrhea), which I felt was to be expected when making a major diet change. It, however, didn't last long and the benefits of feeding a much healthier diet far outweigh the short adjustment period. I just wish I had been better informed about dog food years ago. Thank you TOTW for making a more affordable quality food for dogs!

We feed this to our Brownie, our 2 year old Miniature Dachshund. It's the food that he started on with his breeder (a vet tech). We figured she knew her stuff, and we decided to stay consistent with his diet.

Taste of the Wild is definitely a good food for our dog! We don't need to feed him a whole lot (a heaping 1/3 of a cup, twice a day) is plenty for a 13 pound mini to stay in shape!

When we take Brownie out, many owners will compliment how shiny his coat is. We attribute this mainly to the quality of Taste of the Wild, which as other reviewers have already said is a grain-free, high-protien kibble. We would strongly recommend Taste of the Wild as a food that is sure to satisfy your dog too!

This is by far thee best dog food I have ever fed my dog!..I have a 2 year old AmStaff, And he suffers from severe allergies. When I first adopted him, he was basically a walking rash! After educating myself, I decided to try "chicken soup for the dog lovers soul"..Great food for those on a budget. Even though the rashes cleared up, he had runny stools due to the bit of grains in the food..I then tried "Orijen adult"..And if money is no matter it's a great choice! We have an English Bulldog and they are known for having sensitive stomachs and flatulence. After trying a few other high end foods, we discovered Taste of the Wild.

I have a 3 1/2 yr old 75lb springer/golden retreiver mix with some health issues.

Before I switched him to this food he was on Iams and Beneful, his long coat was dull and his urine burned our grass. Over a year ago he started having seizures. We noticed them occur more after he'd been more physically active or physically stressed.

After trying different medicines to help with the seizures and refusing to increase his dosage anymore, I did some research online about the benefits of grain-free, higher protein diets and decided to switch my Bear to this food. I've never been happier to say the least. His coat has improved tremendously, softer and shinier. Not to mention his urine no longer burns our grass, but actually fertilizes it!!!!
He's still on medications for his seizures, but we are able to take him hiking and take him for walks again. His seizures have been fewer between. Maybe someday we'll be able to start reducing his seizure meds.

My girl, Ms. Chloe Doberman, loves Taste of the Wild and cleans her bowl at mealtimes! Although she had no fleas, she did have problems with itching and dandruff which caused hair loss. On the advice of a dog breeder friend in Jacksonville, I tried this wonderful dry food for Chloe. Itching stopped almost immediately. A no-grain food with wonderful protein and fat analyses, Chloe's coat is already returning to its silky, glossy condition. I won't feed her anything but Taste of the Wild from now on.

I switched my German Shepherd to Taste of the Wild based on the recommendation of PetFoodDirect.com's PetCare Advisor, Valerie. All I can say is wow, he LOVES this food. Transition was no problem and he regularly cleans his bowl. His coat and muscle tone are clearly better and I plan to stick with Taste of the Wild in the future. I highly recommend this food to any dog owner.

I raised a difficult breeded Labradoodle from a pup. She was prone to stomach, coat, and vomit problems with regular inexpensive popular dog food brands. It took another 6 tries with other brands with lesser food value before I tried this one. She has been on this brand for over 11 months and all problems have ceased.
This brand has high food value to the dollar. It is available through local pet stores. It has more protein than most brands and a good level of fat for any dog.
Her digestion is now normal. Her stools are soft/dry and not overly smelly.
Her activity level is high, she has an excellent attention span. She can jump, run, quick turn, balance, seek/peek, and sneak. I credit all those attributes to the high grade food.
Her overall health is excellent, fine coat, strong bones, huge powerful muscles, clear eyes, no drainage, white teeth, and weighs 83lbs. at 15 months.

My dog broke out all over with huge scabs after switching to this food. She lost all the fur on her legs, under arms and lower belly. She was itchy and miserable.She lost interest in it after the first few days and wouldn't eat it.I bought it on the premise of the other good reviews.The Regal Brand at PFD caused no allergies and I will switch back.

We feed this food to our adult English Pointer, long hair chihuahua, and 5 month old yorkie(she gets puppy food also)
Our pointer is very sensitive to food, he usually has soft to runny stools, I tried this food last year when my pet store started caring it. This dog food has changed his stool to firm and normal looking and smelling. It has made a great differene! He eats it fine, dry or mixed with a high quality canned food (California Natural.) Our other dogs like it dry. Our dogs are very active and healthy.

I have been using Taste of the Wild for about 6 months now but just switch to this flavor from the salmon. I also liked that one but the smell of fish is strong so I needed to switch it up. This flavor has a much lesser scent so that is nice. My dog really likes this food but eats less since it is so rich (which is a good thing for my wallet too). Her white coat is much brighter and it has not given her any digestive issues. Before I found Taste of the Wild her stool was very loose and since the switch it is much better to deal with.

I would recommend this brand to a friend.

I've been through pretty much every top quality food and a few questionable ones. This is the first food my akita will eat without problems. She's very picky with a sensitive stomach and high calorie requirements. Every other food she either wouldn't eat, threw up, had allergy symptoms and poor coat, or didn't hold weight on. She inhales all the TOTW formulas and we can rotate through the flavors to keep her interested. She's very healthy and happy. Our shibas also do well on this food and like it but they aren't nearly as difficult to feed. On top of all that we aren't going to go broke feeding it. We were getting worried that our only option left was to start ordering freeze dried raw for a 70lb dog.

We breed English Bulldogs and love this brand made by Diamond. My Bulldogs have glossy coats with no skin problems and like the taste. This is rated for all stages but we would like to see a specific formula for whelping moms and puppies. Bulldogs really don't need an extremely high protein diet and it could be a little lower in fat but in the last year we have had no issues with weight or protein bumps with adults. We may need to consider a senior diet when they get older. Our bulldogs are free-fed and eat 1/2 the amount they did on less quality brands. Eliminations are also more regulated and less frequent with Taste of the Wild. We recommend regularly.

I have a 90 lb Golden Retriever and a 40 lb Lab Puppy, both Very Very active. And both dogs can benefit individually from this formula, which is great. I have had them on this food since the puppy came to stay with us.No Problems whatsoever! They love to eat it (way to much actually they go through 2 or 3 bags a month). More importantly it is good for them and doesn't contain any of by-products, corn or fillers. It is an excellent dog food, period!Although there are some minor flaws, some dog owners could consider problems.When my dogs take a poop it stinks! But it all comes out pretty much the same color and in one piece usually. I don't consider this that bad of a problem.Secondly, It is a little expensive for my liking, but with two oversized and active retrievers I guess [$] for a large bag of dog food isnt all that bad.Bottom LineYou REALLY get what you pay for! It is a great dog food! And the All-Life Formula is really nice!

I have different breeds in my home with different needs, high energy, potential skin issues, bone/joint (Doberman, German shepherd Boxer mix, Great Pyrenese, Golden Retriever) Ages 6 months to 12 years. This works for all! Shiny Coats, healed skin issues (rescued Great Pyr had problems)and no picky eaters.

My German Shepherd Dog is severely allergic to most foods and he got sooo sick of the other brand (not allowed to mention other brands) that he would refuse to eat it and then vomit due to him being hungry. We've tried many brands but so far he seems to do very well on this food. His eyes no longer get runny & puffy. His feet no longer get itchy. His skin isn't dry and flaky. His lips no longer get irritated buy the foods which caused his lips to crack and bleed. And the itching all over his body has subsided!!! And if the food didnt cause the above, he wouldnt be able to digest it, causing him to have constant diarrhea. (and yes I know how to mix the different foods over a period of time to prevent this)

Only problem I have with this food is, the changes in the quality from bag to bag. He has such a sensitive belly that even the smallest change in it will cause him to have severe diarrhea. You can at times visually see the differences in the kibble pieces. So now we know to mix the new bag of TOTW Buffalo & Venison with the bag thats almost gone. Basically I do each new bag like I was switching completely different dog foods. I have contacted Diamond about this but they didnt do much about it to ensure the exact recipe in each bag from month to month, just told me to try to find bags that have the same product code-almost impossible for us.

All in all the good outweighs the bad. I am more than willing to mix the foods each month as my dog is living a normal life now. And our chihuahua who is a picky eater LOVES it too!

If you've tried many other foods but they dont seem to be working, try this one. Or if you just want to try a food your dog will LOVE and do great on.. try this food!

All 4 (3 cocker spaniels and a coonhound) do wonderful on this food. 1 of my cocker spaniels had occassional bloody diarrhea, which has completely stopped since starting this food. And their poops are firm and easier to pick up.
