Our Guinea pigs do not like it as much this time. We had bought a smaller bag before and the quality of the hay was good and our guineas really liked it. But unfortunately with this bigger bag 40 oz, the quality is really lacking. The hay smells a bit mildewy and I decided not to feed it to the guineas anymore.

I was looking for the perfect hay for my 3 guinea pigs for some time. The pet stores around here do not carry the Oxbow orchard grass. I knew my guinea pigs preferred orchard grass over timothy hay, but it gets expensive with 3 of those little eating machines. I saw the Oxbow orchard grass on the website here, and I had to try it. And I finally found THE perfect hay for my pigs ! They all love it more than any other hay I have ever tried. The 40 oz bag lasted only a week, so I ordered the 9 lb bag next. The price is fantastic compared to store prices. The hay smells wonderful and is really green and fresh-looking.

Convenient over smaller bags. Packed "solid" so saves on frequency of purchase and cost. My bunny loves it and eats more hay which is healthy for her.

My 2 guinea pigs love this product. They eat every last strand. It smells good but is not overpowering. When I put some in their pen my whole house does not smell like hay. Its soft and they like to burrow in it so they can eat in private. It is not dusty which makes it easier to handle and clean up. Great product.

My bunny started eating more hay after I bought this orchard grass hay, so it's pretty fresh. Also, it doesn't make me sneeze like timothy hay does.

Use this to supplement the bermuda grass hay we feed to our alpacas. They love it, but we're all eagerly awaiting the fresh green grass that grows from the ground!

I ordered a small bag of the orchard grass to try on our four alpacas. We bought bales of coastal bermuda only to watch them sniff at it and walk away. I gave them a taste of the orchard grass, and they absolutely loved it! It's fresh and green and apparantly tastes the same. I added it as a supplement to the bermuda, and they ate both eagerly and willingly. Delighted with their delight, I ordered a 50 pound bag. It's a bit expensive to use for a very long time, but it works in a pinch, until I can find a less expensive but just as satisfying alternative. I'd buy it all the time if it was a bit cheaper [...] Overall, if the alpacas like it, I like it! Thank you for making our alpacas happy!
