Absolutely wonderful. I have a little Teddy Bear hamster, and he absolutely loves this bedding. It doesn't harm him, and he loves to build his little bed out of the Carefresh. Defintiely reccomend for all small pet owners. My friends own a guinea pig and two bunnies, and they all love Carefresh. We will never use the same bedding ever again after trying CareFresh.

I have used this Carefresh for years as bedding for guinea pigs, and have always liked it. But the last few purchases, the bedding is not as soft as it used to be. Has anyone else noticed this???

I've been using this product for years as an alternative to the sandy, gritty clumping litters. Some of my cats prefer it. Maybe it feels better on their paws. Scooping out solids is easy, but removing the wet sections is more challenging. I end up wasting more of it than I do with clumping litter. And it does stick to the fur of my one long-haired cat. But they like it--and making sure they want to use the box is a high priority for me.

I have two guinea pigs in a 30" x 5' cage. This bedding is definitely the best I've found. Its really pricey at pet stores but petfooddirect makes it affordable! I combine it with aspen shavings for cost effectiveness.

I use the product in my 2.5 x 7 ft. guinea pig cage. It expands well and controls odor pretty well. I like that it is made from reclaimed materials. The only thing I don't like is that there is some "dust" with the product, which comes out a little when you place fresh bedding. However, it is less dusty than wood shavings.

I PURCHASED THIS BASED ON REVIEWS I READ THAT PEOPLE RECOMMENDED IT FOR USE AS CAT LITER. I HAVE 5 CATS AND THIS STUFF HAS BEEN THE ONLY THING THAT HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL AT CONTROLLING LITTER BOX ODORS. I ORDERED TWO AND HAVEN'T EVEN USED HALF A PACKAGE YET. IT LASTS A LONG TIME.

After experimenting with many different litters, CareFresh is the best for my house bunnies. It is dust free and absorbent which is important since rabbits play in their litter. A thin layer of Carefresh in a full sized cat litter box with some timothy hay tucked in the corner daily taught my two bunnies to be reliable, litter box using, free roam house bunnies.

Overall a great product, guinea pigs like to run around the cage & can't really kick up much of this bedding. Absorbs almost all if not all of the urine odor. Have used this product now for almost 9 months.

I have used carefresh for over 8 years for my rabbits, it is a great product and I recommend it highly. It also makes great compost. The litterboxes don't smell and are easy to clean. There is no mess and my rabbits enjoy laying on it. With 1 rabbit and weekly changes the 60 LB bag lasts me months. It is also good to use around the house, for example if you compost your kitchen scraps you can put carefresh on the base of the bucket and it absorbs well and makes clean up easier.

With 2 guinea pigs, odor can become a problem. Not with CareFresh. Controls the odor enough that their cage can be cleaned only once a week. Would not use any other pet bedding.

We have three cats and work from home so changing the litter box is frequent here. Hard NOT to scoop up clean litter with the soiled but the trade off is no odor! One 60 liter bag lasts about a week. Been using CareFresh for apx. 20 years and will not use any other brand. Non-toxic and low dust/tracking and none of the lung/colon hazards that clumping litter had been associated with. 5 stars.

Great value if purchased through Pet Food Direct. On the expensive side if purchased at the pet stores, plus they never order enough so it's always out of stock....especially the larger bags. Please don't use cedar chips for guinea pigs...they are toxic! Pine chips aren't the greatest either. Guinea pigs are so adorable and make super sweet pets!

preferred this over other litters as it does not cling to pet when wet and when tracked are not little granules.

All cats, indoor and ferals recuperating, use it immediately.
