FM Brown's No Squirrels.Just Birds! With Chili Peppers Love to feed the birds but not the squirrels? This mix was designed to keep the pesky squirrels our of the feeders. We've blended in spicy chili powder to coat the seed and added curshed hot red peppers. We've used premium white safflower seeds that squirrels find bitter tasting but birds love!

Comments about FM Brown's Bird Lover's Blend No Squirrels Just Birds:

The squirrels HATE this stuff!! After the first day of leaving it out, we haven't seen a squirrel even come CLOSE to our feeders--it must have been quite an unpleasant experience for them! That said, the birds' still eat it day and night. This pre-mixed seed is MUCH better than trying to mix up your own chile-coated seed, which is what I've seen available at a lot of other sites. One tip, make sure as you pour it to fill a feeder, that you turn your head to the side to avoid inhaling the very spicy dust that will rise.

Comments about FM Brown's Bird Lover's Blend No Squirrels Just Birds:

use caution when pouring this. It DOES contain cayenne pepper and the fumes from pouring this seed in our feeder made me sneeze, my eyes water and my throat start to close up. I have used other squirrel proof seed but the other one used a different hot pepper and it did not bother me. I'm sensitive to cayenne I guess.

Also, this seed seems to have SOME seed that the birds dont care for. I just refilled my feeder and there is A LOT of unused seed discarded on the ground.
